Audience: Employees across industries, wellness program participants
My Role: Instructional Designer & Developer
Context: Conceptual project developed to showcase learner-centered wellness design

Project Summary

This microlearning video was designed to address burnout—a growing challenge in today’s fast-paced work culture. Created as a sample wellness resource, the video reframes rest not as a break from productivity, but as the foundation for sustainable performance. Through simple, emotionally resonant storytelling, the piece encourages professionals to pause, reflect, and take actionable steps to protect their well-being.

Problem

In many organizations, burnout is recognized too late—after productivity, morale, or health have already been impacted. The underlying pressure to constantly “perform” leads many employees to undervalue rest and recovery. The challenge was to create a brief, supportive learning experience that normalizes rest and promotes early awareness of burnout symptoms.

Solution

Using Vyond, I developed a short animated video designed for use in employee wellness programs, onboarding, or internal communications. Guided by microlearning principles, the video delivers practical insights in a calm, supportive tone that encourages viewers to reflect and take action.

Design Approach

The video was built around key principles of microlearning, adult learning, and emotional engagement:

  • Scripted and storyboarded the content to focus on clarity and emotional pacing

  • Developed clean, purposeful visuals that align with and reinforce the message

  • Integrated text-to-speech voiceover for consistent tone and clear delivery

  • Emphasized emotional relatability to drive reflection and behavior change

Impact

This video is designed for use in employee wellness programs, onboarding, or internal communication. It models how learning experiences can support well-being—by shifting the narrative around rest from optional to essential. The piece demonstrates how intentional, learner-centered design can foster awareness and healthier workplace habits.
